I took over as director of the company in February 2007 from my father, it has been an incredible journey so far, and there have been many testing times and many great times.

Above all I have enjoyed meeting lots of new and interesting people, and have taken great pride in being able to provide a friendly and efficient service which also gives the customer peace of mind.

I hope with this great team I will be able to grow the company and continue to provide the professional service which has been enjoyed by our customers since 1984.

Terry founded Secure Homes after dedicating 30 years of his life to a distinguished career as an electronics engineer with Thorn EMI. His vision for the company was rooted in the core principles of professionalism, fairness in costs, and reliability, values that continue to guide Secure Homes to this day.

Terry’s vast experience laid the foundation for the company’s ongoing success. He firmly believed that staying true to these principles was the key to growth and building trust with customers.

Terry wasn’t just a great engineer, he was also a man of warmth and character. Always ready with a story to share and never one to turn down a good cup of tea, he brought a personal touch to everything he did.

Terry’s legacy lives on in the work we do and the values we uphold. He remains an irreplaceable part of Secure Homes, and his impact continues to inspire us every day.

Julie Smiley

Julie has been involved with the company since 2009 and has been an incredibly positive influence since then, she has a great capacity to keep everyone upbeat and focused on delivering the best possible service to our customers, she has been heavily involved in the current marketing strategies and has a keen eye for making things ‘ just right’.

She has recently been promoting our services in her local area of Woodhall Spa with great success. Julie always has a smile on her face and is an invaluable member of the team giving positive support in all areas of the business.

Dale Hill

Dale is a dedicated and approachable alarm and CCTV installer with over 5 years of experience helping people protect what matters most. Specializing in tailored security solutions for homes and businesses, Dale is passionate about creating systems that are reliable, user-friendly, and designed to give peace of mind.

What sets Dale apart is a personal touch and genuine care for every customer. Taking the time to understand individual needs, Dale ensures every system is installed to the highest standard and provides ongoing support whenever it’s needed.

Outside of work, Dale enjoys spending time with family, messing around with new tech and enjoying a weekend outdoors.

We had no idea of codes or how it worked and had to remove the fuse to stop the alarm. I feel I was fortunate to find Secure Homes when I did a search online. I am always happy to support local services and I needed a new engineer as my previous one retired. Dale arrived on time and spent almost an hour on the service and left me a maintenance inspection sheet detailing what was done. I thought he was a very efficient and pleasant young man. I was happy that he was able to service an older system and charged what I thought was a very reasonable amount. Another firm had suggested I needed a new system altogether so was pleased when Dale was familiar with the Veritas system. I have recommended Secure Homes to my niece and daughter and would certainly recommend them to anyone needing a new engineer.

Secure Homes make the customer feel secure too. I received a call from the Engineer to alert me of their arrival in advance on the day. He was very polite and respectful of my home, doing everything possible to avoid the need for redecoration. He explained everything that he was undertaking in detail so that the best course of action was followed. The work was done proficiently and efficiently. Even a slight issue after the annual check visit was sorted within a week. It's very reassuring to know that my alarm system is annually serviced and monitored.
